Some more RP ideas are; The Rangers Apprentice, LOTR, and Narnia.
One thing that I've seen done with a lot of roleplaying sites is something called OTM, which can either stand for "Of The Moment" or "Of The Month". There could be a few separate categories like member, character, roleplay, etc. To do this, though, you'd need more activity. XD
Let me know what kind of audience you are targeting and I'll see what I can do about bringing people in. Also, a general site description with the focus/aim/vision of the site would be helpful.
I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

I'm totally up for all of those RP ideas!! I just started rereading Ranger's Apprentice; I never finished it, and I forgot how AMAZING it is.  OTM sounds great, but yeah, we need more people for that. There seems to be a problem here ... What it is, I have no idea. Anyhoo, I'm looking for people who would happily comply to my many rules, and are geeky. XD Those are my basic outlines for the community I'd like. Here's a description: The Fandom Gathering is a new roleplay/forum site, with a primarily Christian community. We welcome all, and invite you to look at our site. We haven't really delved into the roleplays yet, as we have a low number of members, but all of the existing members have had at least a year's experience each. That sound good? Or do you want something a little less formal? |

Since this is a multiple RP forum, I would make "Worlds" for the suggested RPs as boards underneath the Roleplaying category, so there could be a "Middle Earth" board, an "Araluen & Beyond" board (for Ranger's Apprentice/Brotherband), etc. You probably get the picture. XD
If you only want in character contact within the roleplay category, you could either make an "Out of Character" board underneath the "General Discussion" category or create a different category for out of character and then have boards under it that correspond with the in character boards under roleplay.
Ah yes, I loveee Ranger's Apprentice. Have you read any of the newest ones that are about Halt when he first came to Araluen? They're awesome! I've been waiting for the library to get the latest one for forever.

HEY! I just had an awesome idea! Why don't we create our own world! Like a world just for the site! We could have everyone have a little input in the making of it, like what kind of creatures are there, etc. I think that'd be kinda cool.

What kind of place should it be? Futuristic, fantasy... I'm down for something historical, maybe some fairy-tale elements? Definitely people who rise above the system... IF I HAVE ANY VOICE IN THIS DECISION PROCESS AT ALL, THERE WILL BE CHILD LABOR AND OPPRESSION, AND CHARACTERS WILL RISE UP AND SEIZE THE DAY! Heh. Heh. I may be a little wound up. But let's work on this together... because if it were up to me, I would be freaking out over history, and weirdness.

Ooo, I like the idea of historical fantasy, but perhaps a world we make with a touch of historical stuff thrown in? I dunno.
